Personal space, workspaces & folders
Your personal space is free and always yours. A Pro workspace is where a project lives: its own drive, handle, people and invoice. Create one per project, for you alone or with the people you invite.
Personal space and workspaces
Everyone has a personal space. It is free, it publishes on sites.snaphost.ai, and it is just you. A workspace is what Pro comes as: create one for a project and it gets its own handle and subdomain, its own drives, and its own invoice. You can create as many as you have projects and switch between them from the top of the sidebar. Work happens in one at a time, so pick the right one before you publish or share a site.
An AI you connect is connected to you, not to a workspace: one connection works in your personal space and in every workspace you belong to, with your role in each. Tell the AI which workspace to work in.
People and roles
A workspace of one is a workspace. When you want others in it, invite them with a role: admin, member or viewer. The owner is not invited; it is whoever created the workspace. Owners and admins manage people and domains; members publish and edit what they are given; viewers open what is shared with them and change nothing. Only the owner manages billing. Owners, admins and members are each on the workspace's bill; viewers are free. Inviting a paid member adds them that day, prorated; removing them takes them off.
Drives and folders
Every workspace has a personal drive for each person, and a shared drive for the whole workspace. Organize your sites into folders, and move sites between folders or drives at any time. Moving a site keeps its link, and moving it between the personal and shared drive updates who can see it automatically.
The workspace subdomain
Each workspace gets its own subdomain, like acme.snaphost.ai, and every site on it is addressed by a readable slug you control. A site on the shared drive lives at acme.snaphost.ai/company-policy, or behind its folder’s slug when it is filed in one. A site in your personal drive lives under your own handle, acme.snaphost.ai/~darri/company-policy, so it never takes a link away from the shared drive. Change a slug any time from Share, under Link settings (“Custom link”); slugs are unique within their drive, and the original random share link keeps working after a rename.
