Connect SnapHost to your AI
Optional, about two minutes, once. After that you ask in plain words and your AI does the publishing and the sharing.
You never have to connect anything
Ask your AI for the page, download it, and drag it into SnapHost; you get the same link and the same control over who can open it. Connecting is for when you want the AI to do the sending and the updating too, in the same conversation you made the page in.
What connecting does, and does not do
Connecting gives your AI four verbs on your SnapHost account: publish a page, update it, choose who can open it, and list what you have. It cannot see anything else of yours. You approve the connection once in your browser, and it lasts until you revoke it from your SnapHost dashboard.
The address your AI needs is https://app.snaphost.ai/api/mcp. Every step below is where to paste it.
Claude (the website or the desktop app)
- Open claude.ai/customize/connectors in a browser. That is Settings, then Connectors.
- Click the + next to the Connectors heading and choose Add custom connector (not Browse).
- Name it SnapHost, paste the address, leave everything else as Claude fills it in, and click Add.
- Click Connect next to SnapHost and approve the page that opens.
- Start a new chat and ask: list my SnapHost sites. If Claude names them (an empty list counts), you are connected.
No + on that page? On a Claude Team or Enterprise account the owner adds it once under Organization settings, and everyone else enables it; on a free personal account only one custom connector fits at a time, so remove the other first. The technical page has the message to send an owner.
ChatGPT
- Open Settings, then Connectors, and look for a way to add a custom connector. It is there on the plans that allow custom connectors; if it is not on yours, drag your file in instead, it takes the same minute.
